TOPIC: THE RULE OF CHRIST

TEXT: MICAH 5:7-15

7.  Then the remnant of Jacob Shall be in the midst of many peoples, Like dew from the LORD, Like showers on the grass, That tarry for no man Nor wait for the sons of men.

8.  And the remnant of Jacob Shall be among the Gentiles, In the midst of many peoples, Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, if he passes through, Both treads down and tears in pieces, And none can deliver.

9.  Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries, And all your enemies shall be cut off.

10.  " And it shall be in that day," says the LORD, "That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots.

11.  I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds.

12.  I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers.

13.  Your carved images I will also cut off, And your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands;

14.  I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; Thus I will destroy your cities.

15.  And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury On the nations that have not heard."

MESSAGE:

In our days as Christian undergraduates in the university, we were taught to stand against sin and evil wherever we are. So it was that if you had a Christian in your class, it was difficult, if not impossible to cheat in an exam because s/he will report you. Verse 8 points us to the word of God concerning "the remnant of Jacob" - today's believers. You are meant to be among the gentiles (unbelievers) as

lion among the flocks of sheep, "who, if he passes through, both treads down and tears in pieces." In this I see God's desire for us in a sense. We are supposed to tear down ungodliness wherever we pass and whenever we see it.

The Lord has positioned you as a battle-axe to tread down and to tear down evil and sin. Are you doing just that? Are you busy complaining about corruption in the nation, for example, without doing what you can where you are? You are the salt of the environment where Heaven has placed you. Tear down unrighteousness in your little environment. If we all do in our little places, the bigger environment, and indeed the nation will be the better for it. Establish the rule of Christ were you are. You are the child of the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

PRAYER:

Lord, I believe You have made me a lion where I am. Give me the grace to stand for You.

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
