We are not Alone, God is with us - Dr Dajur

Dearly beloved in Christ Jesus, In this times of stress and anxiety, it is important to remember that we are not alone. The Bible reminds us that God is always with us, ready to offer comfort and strength. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” These words are gentle invitation to lay our worries and burdens at His feet. When we feel overwhelmed, it is natural to try to handle everything on our own. However, God wants us to trust Him and rely on His guidance. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded to “not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God’s peace is not dependent on our circumstances but is a gift that surpasses human understanding. It is a peace that calms our hearts and minds, assuring us that He is in

Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was [so] troubled that his sleep left him. 2. Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. 3. And the king said to them, "I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream." 4. Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, "O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation." 5.  The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, "My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap. 6.  "However, if you tel

" But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, 'Son, go, work today in my vineyard.' 29. "He answered and said, 'I will not,' but afterward he regretted it and went. 30. "Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, 'I [go,] sir,' but he did not go. 31. "Which of the two did the will of [his] father?" They said to Him, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32. "For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw [it,] you did not afterward relent and believe him. MES

6 BENEFITS OF KEEPING THE FAMILY ALTAR ALIVE - Ekundayo

Family altar is the assembly of the people who have a ‘common blood’ and a ‘common heart’ in the presence of the LORD. It is not about the construction of a tall table, or positioning a big stone at the corner of the bedroom. I love this quote by Oswald Chambers: “You must be willing to be placed on the altar and go through the fire, willing to experience what the altar represent-burning, purification, and separation for only one purpose-the elimination of every desire and affection not grounded in or directed towards God. But you do not eliminate it, God does.” How the Structure of Family Altar looks like? The family altar for the New Testament has nothing to do with the designs mentioned in the Old Testament. The attendants at the family altar are strictly the family members (father, mother, children, and relatives). And the synchronisation of the hearts of your family in the presence of the Lord forms the family altar. Matthew chapter 5 verses 8 say: “Blessed are the pure in heart,

What is the 'Church'? - Bp FelixOrji, OSB

“What is the Church? According to Article 19 of the 39 Articles of Religion, “The visible Church is a congregation of faithful men in which the pure word of God is preached and the sacraments duly administered”. I love the way the late Anglican theologian  Dr. John Stott put it. He noted that the church is a multilingual, multicultural, multiracial, inter generational, and multiethnic community of believers who are committed to Christ, Scripture, one another, and to the Mission, ministry and worship of God in the world. That’s what we are celebrating today. We come from different backgrounds and climes and that’s a good thing. We are better of by it.  But there is something else that we as believers must bear in mind with respect to our identity. It is the fact that we are children of God with a glorious future ahead of us in Christ and through faith in Him. That is our uniting and glorious eternal identity. That is what we see in I John 3:1-2” ~ Bishop Felix Orji, OSB.

There's More to You - Elsie Dennis

“Sometimes the place you are used to is not where you belong.” Queen of Katwe movie. My favorite machine in the gym is the Treadmill. I love to just set it and start walking. As I walk I’m praying and affirming. I close my eyes and imagine myself on a beach somewhere or beside my favorite lake with nature all around me. I just love the treadmill, and there is a reason for that. But there is also a challenge with it. Walking the treadmill means I burn fewer calories in the same time when compared to the stationery bike. Now that’s one machine I absolutely hate using. It takes much more effort and I find myself stopping to rest every few minutes whereas I could be on the treadmill for an hour nonstop. This morning I got to the gym and all the treadmills were taken; the stationery bike was free. So I climbed the bike grudgingly and proceeded to pedal. Within a few minutes I was sweating and panting. That’s when the above line hit me. I love the treadmill because I am used to walking. It

It is explained this way, in the singular a woman’s relationship to man is that of a wife to a husband. Since man and woman comes from the same root word, she is not given over into his power, rather she complements him and stands at his side as an equal. Until she yielded to the temptation from the serpent then God removed the equality and the " ruling " power went to the man. Women Meaning Biblically. The root word for ishah is ‘ish

How to make the Bishop to succeed - Archbishop Adeleye at the Consecration of Bishops at the All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha

Dr. Tunde Adeleye.* *Archbishop of Niger-Delta Province and Bishop of Calabar Diocese* *Topic: How to make the Bishop to succeed.* *1. Pray for the Bishop* When you see people talking ill, abusing Bishops, it shows that they're not praying for their Bishop. We are afraid of those who talk bad about  others because the same way they will go at our back and talk bad about us too. Galassians 6:2, Such people have diarrhoea of the mouth. Remember the person you are talking about, God says touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. Always pray for your Bishop, pray for one and another. *2. Anglicanism: Spiritual meaning of 'Dog Collars'

IT IS GOOD TO ASK OF SPIRITUAL AND THEOLOGICAL MEANINGS OF OUR ANGLICAN HERITAGES BEFORE WE BEGIN TO CONDEMN THEM. SPIRITUAL MEANING OF DOG COLLAR . Spiritually it has become representative of a priest’s consecration to God and his role as someone set apart for priestly service. Some priests see it as a symbol of their “slavery” to God, showing the world who is their true Master. Additionally, because many priests find it rather uncomfortable, the collar has become a way of performing a daily penance to God, offering up the sacrifice for the people the priest serves. The collar remains a distinctive sign of the priest’s availability and the permanent nature of Holy Orders. The priest “is not his own” and is a visible sign of Jesus Christ, presenting  Himself as the Master. As the owner of the dog takes the dog anywhere. The theological implications are to bark against evil and total obedience to God as dog usually does. - Archdeacon Toba Olatunji This post first appeared here

Golden vs Willing Vessels

Golden vs Willing Vessels  The Lord seeks willing vessels who will obey and execute His commands all the days of their lives. Not the perfect. Not the qualified Not the golden He qualifies the called, makes perfect the imperfect and turns the earthen vessel to golden vessels - day by day as they walk under the shadow of His presence. Understanding Your Mandate: Know Your Place in Christ

It was my wedding night. I was so tired, I needed a bath and a rest.  We had danced so much my back was aching.  My husband was beginning to have funny ideas. He was beaming like a new born baby. Well, I wouldn't  blame him; any man in his position would not joke with this night because I was a warrior during our courtship". No... no hugging, no pecking, no holding, no touching, no tapping current, no weather for two,  Sexual purity till my marriage was top on my list. The Knock came. I was thinking, half past eleven (11:30pm). Is that room service, I wondered. Then, with eyes popping. I heard my mother in-law's iron like voice: "Tise, Micheal, open the door". Micheal jumped up from the bed, rushed to the door and opened it  for his mum. My Mother in-law walked in, sat down majestically and asked us to sit down too. "Tise, I don't know if anyone ever told you? There is a curse on my husband's family line. The men in their family don't prosp

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DATE: FRIDAY 8 JUNE, 2018 TOPIC: THE LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING IS REAL! TEXT: 1 KINGS 2:26-35 26. And to Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth, to your own fields, for you are deserving of death; but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord God before my father David, and because you were afflicted every time my father was afflicted.” 27. So Solomon removed Abiathar from being priest to the Lord , that he might fulfill the word of the Lord which He spoke concerning the house of Eli at Shiloh. 28. Then news came to Joab, for Joab had defected to Adonijah, though he had not defected to Absalom. So Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord , and took hold of the horns of the altar. 29. And King Solomon was told, “Joab has fled to the tabernacle of the Lord ; there he  is, by the altar.” Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, “G

Strong Habits Start Small

Dear Saint, I have come to realize that many people fail in the Christian life because we want to go to bed in Egypt and wake up in Canaan; become converted in the morning and become a patriarch by noon. But it is not so. God created time and allows it to process us into maturity - through trials, temptations, from little steps to great strides, from feeding on spiritual milk to eating meat, from a new convert to a great witness of the Kingdom. So, start small and grow. Start each day with the study of verses/chapters of scriptures, with at least 30minutes of prayers and intercessions; then grow to the level of finishing chapters and books of the Bible, to spending hours in the place of prayers.           If thy children have sinned against him,           and he have cast them away for their                   transgression; Though thy beginning was           small, yet thy latter end should greatly                 increase. Job 8:4‭,‬7 KJV When you miss any, quickly retrace your st

(Job 31:1, NET BIBLE') Sexual immorality is on the increase all over the world. Adultery is fast becoming the norm and men of God are also joining the club. Married women are not left out, many are having secret lovers and emotional affairs are becoming the order of the day. The rate at which immorality is increasing is alarming! It is spreading fast into every nook and cranny and children are also being initiated into the club. It's no news that 4, 5 years old kids now have sex with each other. Staying sexually pure these days is becoming a Herculean task. One of the reasons people fall flat into illicit sex is over confidence. The stupid belief that you can be free around the opposite sex and nothing would happen! A lot wil
