Profile of Venerable Dr. Gershinen Paul Dajur, Bishop-Elect of the Missionary Diocese of Keffi-Karshi

  Venerable Dr Gershinen Paul Dajur hails from Fwor community in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State and was born on 12 March 1980, into the family of Nde Paul Shikduna Wukpi (late) and Nana Naomi Paul Dajur.  His birth into a Christian environment shaped his early devotion to God and pursuit of knowledge. Even from childhood, he distinguished himself with a disciplined mind, an eagerness to learn, and a sense of responsibility that would define his life and ministry.  His primary education at Myet-Nemel Primary School (completed in 1992) was followed by secondary education at Government Secondary School, Ampang East, Kanke, where he graduated in 1998 as the best student of his set.   PRESS RELEASE The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Dr. Henry C. Ndukuba has approved the appointment of The Venerable Barr. Festus Opara, PhD, as the new General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion. In a document released by the outgoing General Secretary, the Ven. Dr. Paul Dajur,  Ven. Opara's appointment follows a rigorous and merit-based selection process in which he performed excellently and emerged as the most suitable candidate for the office. His appointment became necessary after the outgoing General Secretary, Dr. Dajur, was elected the bishop of the newly created Diocese of Keffi-Karshi Missionary Diocese last month. The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev’d Henry C. Ndukuba, will lead other Archbishops and Bishops to consecrate fifteen newly elected bishops on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at a service to be held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life-camp in Abuja. We are not Alone, God is with us - Dr Dajur

Dearly beloved in Christ Jesus, In this times of stress and anxiety, it is important to remember that we are not alone. The Bible reminds us that God is always with us, ready to offer comfort and strength. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” These words are gentle invitation to lay our worries and burdens at His feet. When we feel overwhelmed, it is natural to try to handle everything on our own. However, God wants us to trust Him and rely on His guidance. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded to “not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God’s peace is not dependent on our circumstances but is a gift that surpasses human understanding.
