THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DATE: FRIDAY 20 APRIL, 2018                                                                       TOPIC: EVIDENCE THAT YOU KNOW GOD TEXT: 1 JOHN 2:1-11 1. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 3. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 7. Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old co

Strong Habits Start Small

Dear Saint, I have come to realize that many people fail in the Christian life because we want to go to bed in Egypt and wake up in Canaan; become converted in the morning and become a patriarch by noon. But it is not so. God created time and allows it to process us into maturity - through trials, temptations, from little steps to great strides, from feeding on spiritual milk to eating meat, from a new convert to a great witness of the Kingdom. So, start small and grow. Start each day with the study of verses/chapters of scriptures, with at least 30minutes of prayers and intercessions; then grow to the level of finishing chapters and books of the Bible, to spending hours in the place of prayers.           If thy children have sinned against him,           and he have cast them away for their                   transgression; Though thy beginning was           small, yet thy latter end should greatly                 increase. Job 8:4‭,‬7 KJV When you miss any, quickly retrace your st

MANNA FOR DAILY LIVING BY VEN. E. AGBAWE, PH.D

MANNA FOR DAILY LIVING BY VEN. E. AGBAWE, PH.D DATE: SUNDAY 15TH APRIL, 2018 TOPIC: WHEN GOD EXALTS. FOR READING & MEDITATION: Joshua 3:7-14 “...Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel.” 2A' Jehovah God says, “I will honour those who honour me..”. (I Samuel 2:30). Joshua was ready for the assignment committed to his charge hence he rose up early the next morning with all Israelites. He acted in faith disregarding all negative talks and every act of discouragement on the part of the people. God is looking for men of faith for great exploit. “For the people who know their God will be strong and take action” (Daniel 11:32). Joshua was ready for action, hence God spoke. “Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel...” Too many believers have lost favour with God hence this grace of divine exaltation is eluding them by the day. Though some occupy a great position yet God is lacking in everything they do. Such leaders have assumed the place of

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DATE: SUNDAY 15 APRIL, 2018 TOPIC:  JESUS IS THE “DOOR” (EASTER 2) TEXT: JOHN 10: 7-16                           7. Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11.“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12.  But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14. I a

Set Sexual Boundaries

SET SEXUAL BOUNDARIES - A message For all Christians,  Pastors, Shepherds,  Deacons, Deaconesses, Elders, Dep'tal leaders, Music Ministers, Church  members. “I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I entertain thoughts against a virgin ? (Job 31:1, NET BIBLE') Sexual immorality is on the increase all over the world. Adultery is fast becoming the norm and men of God are also joining the club. Married women are not left out, many are having secret lovers and emotional affairs are becoming the order of the day. The rate at which immorality is increasing is alarming! It is spreading fast into every nook and cranny and children are also being initiated into the club. It's no news that 4, 5 years old kids now have sex with each other. Staying sexually pure these days is becoming a Herculean task. One of the reasons people fall flat into illicit sex is over confidence. The stupid belief that you can be free around the opposite sex and nothing would happen! A lot wil
