TOPIC: THE CURE FOR SIN

TEXT: MATTHEW 1:18-25

18.  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19.  Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man,] and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
20.  But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21.  "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."
22.  So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23.  "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."
24.  Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife,
25.  and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.

MESSAGE:
Even a casual observer today will notice that there is a very high level of wickedness in humans. From the senseless slaughter of others in the name of religion to kidnapping for ransom; from same- Sex marriage to fighting for the right of homosexual couples to have and raise children; from political and economic corruption to the killing of political opponents, our world is in a mess. While analysts point to many causes in their attempt to explain why we are in the present chaos, one thing is hardly admissible - sin. Sin is the cause of all ills in the society. The hearts of men and women have become so perverted because hearts are sick and need regeneration. But this state of affairs did not start today. It started the day Adam and Eve compromised the commandment of God and ate the forbidden fruit.

God knows this; and in His love, He provided a cure. "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins " (v.21). Jesus is the cure for sin; He is the hope of the world. Politicians do not have the answers; the answer is not in the hands of the military. No one, no policy, no civilization can change the heart of man. Only Jesus can! This is why He came. Have you allowed Him to change your heart? Is sin
still ruling you? Surrender to Jesus!

PRAYER:
Lord, I yield completely to You.

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
