THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

DATE: THURSDAY, 16TH DECEMBER, 2021

TOPIC: RISE UP

TEXT: MICAH 7:8-10

8.  Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD [will be] a light to me.

9.  I will bear the indignation of the LORD, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

10.  Then [she who is] my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is the LORD your God?" My eyes will see her; Now she will be trampled down Like mud in the streets.

MESSAGE:

As she sobbed, I could hear her saying: "I know why this is happening to me." A particular sickness had come upon her, and she felt convinced it was the punishment she was getting for being involved in an incestuous relationship with her brother. That particular counseling session was difficult even for me. Sin, of course, has devastating consequences and we all should steer clear of it. However, it is not altogether a hopeless case for one who has fallen. There is forgiveness with God; if we confess, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us (1Jn. 1:9). This is why the enemy's rejoicing is premature: "When I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me "(v.8).

Have you fallen? Rise up in confession and genuine repentance and God will forgive you. You are not a complete failure because you mistakenly fell, but you will be if you remain down. You can find forgiveness and receive strength and grace to continue. Even if you have sat in darkness, allow the Lord to be a light to you now. He is ever willing to aid you. This is why the enemy of your soul must not rejoice over you. Be encouraged; God will plead your case and execute justice for you (v.9).

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
