TOPIC: BEWARE OF THE FALSE GOSPEL

TEXT: GALATIANS 3:23– 4:7

23.  But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.

24.  Therefore the law was our tutor [to bring us] to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25.  But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

26.  For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

27.  For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

29.  And if you [are] Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

4:1. Now I say [that] the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all,

2. but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

3. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world.

4. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

5.  to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

6.  And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"

7.  Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

MESSAGE:

As the good news about Jesus began to be preached and welcomed among people who were not Jews, the question arose as to whether a person must obey the Law of Moses in order to be a true Christian. Apostle Paul, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, pointed out that this was not necessary. According to him, the only basis to become a true Christian was faith by which all were put right with God (John 1:12-13). But among the churches of Galatia, there had come people who opposed Paul and claimed that one must also observe the Law of Moses in order to be in right standing with God.

Paul emphasized that with genuine faith in Christ Jesus, Christians are no longer slaves to Sin or Satan but are sons and daughters of God and heirs according to His promise (Gal. 3:26, 4:7). Beloved, beware that there are many false teachings today. Some preachers project that once a person is saved, he is saved for ever. In other words, it does not matter how a person lives after his conversion, he has eternal security! This is not the truth of the Gospel. The Bible affirms that Christians should live to glorify God in all things.

As a child of God, you must note that false teaching is either a reduction or overstretching of the truth and any teaching that does not promote the knowledge of Christ and the holiness of the Church as prescribed by the Holy Bible is not for you (1 Cor. 10:12; Heb. 12:14). The scripture warns – “But know this that in the last days, perilous times will come for men shall be lovers of themselves … from such turn away” (1 Tim. 3:1-5). Beware of false teachers!

PRAYER:

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John. 4:1)

Holy Spirit, guide me, give me a discerning heart that I'll not follow any other than Christ my Lord

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
