THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

DATE: SUNDAY, 17TH APRIL, 2022

TOPIC: …ONE DIED FOR ALL…

TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14-6:2

14.  For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;

15.  and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

16.  Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know [Him thus] no longer.

17.  Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

18.  Now all things [are] of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19.  that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20.  Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore [you] on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

21.  For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

6:1. We then, [as] workers together [with Him] also plead with [you] not to receive the grace of God in vain.

2. For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.

MESSAGE:

It is important to note that Christ died for everyone. He included all of us in His death so that we all could be included in His resurrection life. There are no racial, status, age or sex biases to what He did – it was for everyone! The new creation men look alike anywhere and anytime because they look like Christ; that is how God sees anyone that has been united with Him through Christ and that is how we should equally see brethren.

God having reconciled us to Himself through Christ, has called us into the ministry of reconciliation – God making His appeal to men through us. Finally, having received this great grace, we are encouraged not to waste it. This marvellous life that God has given us should not be traded for anything.

PRAYER:

Thank You Jesus for dying for me at the cross when I was Your enemy. This sacrifice has brought me hope of eternal life both now and forevermore. Amen.

He is risen,

He is risen indeed, hallelujah!

Happy Easter!

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh...
