DATE: MONDAY, 8TH NOVEMBER, 2021

TOPIC: OBEY THE COMMANDMENT OF THE KING

TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 8:1-9

1. Who [is] like a wise [man?] And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face shine, And the sternness of his face is changed.
2. I [say,] "Keep the king's commandment for the sake of your oath to God.
3. "Do not be hasty to go from his presence. Do not take your stand for an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him."
4. Where the word of a king [is, there is] power; And who may say to him, "What are you doing?"
5. He who keeps his command will experience nothing harmful; And a wise man's heart discerns both time and judgment,
6. Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, Though the misery of man increases greatly.
7. For he does not know what will happen; So who can tell him when it will occur?
8. No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, And no one has power in the day of death. [There is] no release from that war, And wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it.
9. All this I have seen, and applied my heart to every work that is done under the sun: [There is] a time in which one man rules over another to his own hurt.

MESSAGE:
The passage today is a call to obedience to the command of the King. Everyone who works for a king is under obligation to obey the command and instruction of that king especially, those who are called servants of the king. Sometimes, the king's commands are not pleasant, yet, they must be obeyed. Servants serve for the kings pleasure and not theirs; the king's word is final and no man dares question him. The king's servants know that carrying out orders does not hurt, rather it blesses. The word of the king carries with it enormous power wherever it is said. Every wise and good servant obeys promptly, the commands given to him/her by the king.

Our King is Almighty God whose seat is in heaven and who rules over all the affairs of men and His command is His WORD.

He we must obey and His command we must keep! The command of the Lord is littered all over the pages of scriptures and obedience to these commands and instructions, simplifies our lives.

The commands of the Lord are not grievous; they are for our profit and glory. To obey God's word is to be free from shame, disgrace, sickness, poverty, disappointments, etc. We must therefore daily keep a watch unto the word of God for therein is our freedom.

PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, cause me to daily obey Your word.

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
