Primate Ndukuba Appoints Ven. Lt. Col. Ogbonyomi (rtd) as his New Private Secretary


The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Dr. Henry C. Ndukuba has appointed The Venerable (Lt Col Rtd) Titilope Ogbonyomi as his new private secretary.


The Primate, in the appointment letter signed by the General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Ven. Dr. Paul Dajur noted that his appointment comes in recognition of his proven commitment, discipline, and diligent service within the Church, especially in the Nigerian Army Protestant Chaplaincy.


The appointment of Venerable Ogbonyomi as the Secretary to the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) takes effect from 1st October 2025, as the immediate past secretary to the Primate, The Ven. Ifeanyi Akunna was recently elected the bishop of the newly created missionary Diocese of Ogaja.


Ven. T.E. Ogbonyomi is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and Venerable of the Anglican Communion, who served as the Director of Chaplaincy Services (Protestant) for the Nigerian Army. He had a notable military career, participating in the United Nation Peace Keeping Operations in Liberia and Sudan, before his retirement from military service in late 2024. 


Dr. Dajur expressed his confidence that the passion, dedication, and wealth of experience will greatly contribute to his work in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, and prayed that the Lord who has called him to this role will grant him wisdom, grace, and strength to serve faithfully to the glory of His Name and for the good of His Church.

FIVE NEW FULL FLEDGED ANGLICAN DIOCESES

Five new Dioceses have been created in the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion.
