YOU ARE NOT ALONE

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

DATE: MONDAY, 16TH JANUARY, 2023

TOPIC: YOU ARE NOT ALONE

TEXT: MATTHEW 10: 24-31

24. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

26. Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul

29. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows

MESSAGE:
Jesus came, He saw and He conquered. He overcame despite the numerous challenges He encountered. As His disciples, He wants us to follow in His footsteps and do likewise. Jesus was called Beelzebub [Prince of Demons]; and He warned his disciples that they may also witness such an accusation. They equally need to be careful because there is nothing covered that will not be revealed (v.26). They should therefore not be afraid of what man can do to them but of God.

Christians are here to represent Christ as His ambassadors on earth (2 Cor. 5:20). Do not allow the world to set a different life standard for you. Be a disciplined disciple of Christ. Be honest in serving Him. Do not mind what people say against you when you are doing the right thing. Be open to the leading of the Spirit of God in taking actions; you are safe when you are on the Lord’s side. In any situation, at any time, your primary aim must be geared towards doing the will of God, not the will of man. Do not be afraid to preach the gospel for God is with you.

PRAYER:
Rock of ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee. Amen.

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
