GOD IS ABLE

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

DATE: WEDNESDAY, 4TH JANUARY, 2023

TOPIC: GOD IS ABLE

TEXT: MATTHEW 4:23-25

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
24. Then [a]His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
25.  Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from [b]Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

MESSAGE:
Have faith, have hope, and hold on. In our text today, we notice that Jesus went about all Galilee preaching and healing in synagogues. Synagogues were houses of local worship. As Jesus was faithful in carrying out his divine duty, His name went through out all Syria; and people brought the sick people and he healed them (v.24).

Jesus took care of both spiritual and physical needs of the people by teaching them the word of God and healing their physical diseases. Receive word of hope today! Jesus is willing to touch you, heal you, and restore you. 1 Peter 5:7 says “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.’’ This is one major secret for a peaceful life. You have Jesus as your advocate and He solves challenging problems, even of ill health, for people. He is able to set you free from all problems you may be facing now. Trust Him; He will turn things around for your good.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I commit all my needs to You and ask for Your intervention in Jesus’ name. Amen.

EXCERPTS FROM: 24/7 WARFARE PRAYERS AND SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH MANUAL

INTRODUCTION Right from childhood, the number “SEVEN” has always been an intrigue, an interesting puzzle, a fascination, and a great phenomenon to me. I was actually born on the seventh day of the month; perhaps this was one of the reasons why something leaps inside of me whenever I see the number. But as I grew up in the Christian faith I began to see a regular reference to it the scriptures. I was kind of saying, whoa! Holy bliss! Seven occurs 257 times, or 7 × 41 Seventh, the fractional part occurs 98 times or 7× 14 Seven –fold occurs 7 times. Seventy occurs 56 times or 7× 8 “Seventy” in combination with other numbers occurs 35 times or 7× 5. God is pleased to stamp the number “Seven” with the seal of perfection and completeness. God never down played the importance of the number, because it was the number of God. It is a carrier of God’s mysteries. It pleased God that, the Seventh man from Adam – Enoch sh
