Archbishop Onuoha Re-elected for Owerri Province as Church of Nigeria holds Episcopal Synod

The Primate of  Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), the Most Rev’d Dr. Henry C. Ndukuba has announced the re-election of the Most Rev’d Dr. David Onuoha as the Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province for a second term of five years. The announcement was made at the end of a brief episcopal synod held today 9th of November, 2025 at the end of the consecration service of 15 new bishops in the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life-camp, Gwarinpa, Abuja. The Primate who congratulated the newly elected Archbishop, prayed that God will keep working through him and grant him all that he needs to pilot the affairs of the people of God in Owerri Province. He urged all members of the Church to continue to put the newly consecrated bishops in prayers as they launch into the mission field in their respective areas. Profile of Venerable Dr. Gershinen Paul Dajur, Bishop-Elect of the Missionary Diocese of Keffi-Karshi

  Venerable Dr Gershinen Paul Dajur hails from Fwor community in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State and was born on 12 March 1980, into the family of Nde Paul Shikduna Wukpi (late) and Nana Naomi Paul Dajur.  His birth into a Christian environment shaped his early devotion to God and pursuit of knowledge. Even from childhood, he distinguished himself with a disciplined mind, an eagerness to learn, and a sense of responsibility that would define his life and ministry.  His primary education at Myet-Nemel Primary School (completed in 1992) was followed by secondary education at Government Secondary School, Ampang East, Kanke, where he graduated in 1998 as the best student of his set. With a strong academic foundation, young Gershinen proceeded to the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, where he earned a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Christian Religious Studies and Social Studies in 2001, graduating with multiple academic distinctions.  His...

Joshua Generation International Youth Conference 2026 to Hold in Enugu

The 2026 Joshua Generation International Youth Conference will now hold at the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus, Enugu from Monday 6th to Saturday 11th April 2026 with the theme "Rooted in Christ" taken from Colossians 2:7. As you may recall, during recent Church of Nigeria’s Standing Committee meeting held in Ekiti, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria and the convener of this youth conference announced that the conference venue will move from Abuja, which has held it from 2022 to 2025, to Port Harcourt.  However, efforts to secure the intended venue in Port Harcourt that can contain the large number of youths will not be available. We are thrilled to announce that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Prof. Simon Ortuanya, has graciously approved the University of Nigeria's Enugu campus as the new venue for the conference.  Pre-conference training at Provincial level will now hold from Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th February, 2026 at Provincial venues to b...
