PRAYER GUIDES FOR THE THREE DAYS FASTING AND PRAYER OF THE STATE OF THE NATION
The following prayer requests are to be used for the prayer and fasting declared by the Primate of All Nigeria from Friday, 12th to Sunday, 14th August, 2022.
Theme: LET GOD ARISE,
Text: Psalm 68:1-4, 2 Chron.32:1f
DAY ONE-FRIDAY 12TH AUGUST 2022
THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION
1. Thank God for his mercy that endures forever. Thank him for calling us to himself. And for his preservation of lives and properties.
2. Pray and thank God for sustenance and divine provision.
3. Thank God for the Church in Nigeria, for our leaders and members.
4. Thanks God for Nigeria, for God’s mercy that holds this nation up from destruction.
The bible says, Sin is a reproach to any people. This reproach is heavy upon us. We have become objects of ridicule; it does not look like we have ever seen light, as everywhere seem to be blackened with darkness. There is commotion in the spirit realm; destinies are wasting away due to the impact of sin in our land. We need to deeply seek God’s face, to find mercy. When people like Ezra, Nehemiah and Daniel saw it in their time, they shut themselves in with fasting, prayer with sackcloth weeping and calling on God for mercy. It was a deep repentance/intercession ((Extra 9, Neh 9 and Dan 9).
5. Bring repentance to God on behalf of yourself, the Church and our Nation, for all the atrocities, bloodshed, killings, terrorism, etc
6. Bring repentance to God for all the leadership rascality, for stealing from government treasury, for running aground our economy,
7. Ask God to forgive us for raising our youths into armed robbers and yahoo fraudsters, seek God’s mercy over our political thuggery, election malpractices, snatching of ballot boxes, murder of opponents, and blackmail of innocent persons.
8. Plead for God’s mercy over our attitude towards participation over political parties thereby leaving them for thugs, our awkward attitude towards electioneering and voting, for election rigging of evil men into power, and for appointment of wrong people into political offices.
Use the pattern of deep Repentance used by Ezra (Extra 9), Nehemiah (Neh 9) and Daniel (Dan 9) to pray for our Nation.
9. Ask God for His mercy over the church of God. For all the blood shedding rituals, falsehoods,
blackmails, infightings, use of voodoo and talisman in God’s altar, and all the forms of immoralities.
10. Plead for God’s forgiveness upon us as individuals, our Church and Nation.
11. Use Psalm 51 to conclude this Prayer.
INSECURITY AND POLITICS IN NIGERIA
Considering the level of insecurity in our Nation, seeing how fulanis are widespread everywhere in this nation is worrisome. It is becoming clearer that politicians are not ready to do serious crackdown on them.As intercessors and church of God, we must engage in serious intercession to unravel this evil plot, and get divine help (Psalm 46:1-3).
1. Ask God to frustrate satanic agenda to exterminate Christians in Nigeria. That the Lord should confuse the language of the enemy (Psalm 68:30).
2. Ask the Lord to release warring angels to all the forest zones where bandits and kidnappers are hiding and deliver Nigerians from Fulani jihadists that have been imported and mobilized to cause tension and attack people especially Christians.
3. Ask God to watch over the Church and secure her from attack.
4. Pray for the peace of God to reign in Abuja and its environs.
5. Pray that God will frustrate any desperate politician that intends to emerge by force. That God will disappoint the crafty of the mighty.
6. Pray that God fearing leaders will emerge the positions of authority in 2023 election. From the local government lever up to the presidency.
7. Pray that all electoral officers will be truthful and faithful to the proper conduct of 2023 elections.
8. Ask the Lord to confuse wicked politicians that have looted and destroyed our economy and still want to find space in the leadership of our nation.
9. Ask the Lord to detonate all the wicked altars, gates, sorcerers, diviners, enchanters and disband them.
10. May the wickedness of the wicked come to an end in Nigeria. Oh Lord, judge the wickedness of the wicked in Nigeria.
11. Contend with those who contend with the righteous in Nigeria. Trouble the troublers of Nigeria and Nigerians.
12. Let only your counsels stand in Nigeria, establish the just and let it be well with the righteous.
CHURCH OF NIGERIA CONFERENCES
1. Pray and thank God for the just concluded Chancellors and Registrars conference of the Church of Nigeria and pray that God will grant them grace to be more committed in their dioceses.
2. Pray and thank God for the National AYF programme that was held in Ekiti, journey mercies granted to all the delegates and participants of the conference. Pray that God will order the steps of our youths aright.
3. Pray for the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Standing Committee and Mothers’ Union Executives Meeting that will hold from Monday 12th to Friday 16th September, 2022 at St. Matthias’ House, Gudu, Abuja.
4. Let’s raise a cry to God to intervene in the affairs of Church of Nigeria, that disunity will cease, crisis will end and God will reign supreme.
5. Pray that God will prepare all the Houses as they plan to attend the Standing Committee. The House of Bishops, the House of Clergy and the House of Laity will be focused on their roles to propagate the gospel and move the Church forward.
6. Pray and ask for God’s grace for the leadership of all the Houses in their dispositions.
7. Pray that God will inspire all the resource persons as they prepare for their assigned roles at the Standing Committee and Mothers’ Union Executive Meeting.
8. Pray for all delegates, that none shall regret being part of the Meeting. Ask God to preserve them from attack and accident.
DAY TWO - SATURDAY 13TH AUGUST 2022
THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION
1. Give God thanks for all his mercies over us, our families, the church, and our leaders.
2.Thank God for preserving Nigeria from total destruction.
Pls note this- In dealing with all problems in our national life, we need to first bring deep repentance over those atrocities before going to do warfare against them. Reading Nehemiah 9, Ezra 9 and Daniel 9, That's what we can get from them.
3.Ask for repentance on behalf of yourself and our Nation, for all the atrocities, bloodshed, killings, terrorism, etc
4. Bring repentance to God for Nigeria over bitter ethnic rilvaries, agitations, looting of public treasuries, monetary inducements in politics, unholy infiltration, blackmail, lying, etc".
5. Pray and ask God for the forgiveness of our sins as a Nation and as individuals.
INSECURITY AND POLITICS IN NIGERIA
1. Read Job 5:12and Call upon the mighty hand of God to frustrate the plan of the enemies of Nigeria whose plan is to capture the National seat in the coming elections.
2. Ask heavenly emissaries to pay Nigeria a special visit, to unravel their elections rigging plans, and disgrace them, Gen.19:1, Josh.5:13-15.
3. Command the evil ones who have vowed to take Aso Rock by force to go blind, and dead, let there be wailing from their camps beginning from September this year. 2 Kings 19:35
4. Ask that more European, American and International bodies to rise up against plots of rigging of any kind, be it electronic, denial of voting opportunities or use of foreign voters. And against buying and selling of votes and any form of financial inducements. Isa.61:8 NIV
5. Please Let's also "Ask the Lord to mitigate against very orchestrated plans by wicked politicians who are infiltrating the camps of godly politicians and want to use them as saboteurs to weaken their strengths and divert their votes to the opponents of these godly politicians"
6.Pray and ask God to avert every purported plan to attack the Church Nationwide.
7.Pray that God will raise deliverers for Nigeria from Local government to Presidency. Pray against spirit of tribalism and sentimentalism.
8.Pray against any form of sorcery, bewitchment, diabolism or satanic operations before, during and after 2023 general elections.
9.Pray against, false propaganda, blackmail, political manipulations, sabotage, wicked instigation, satanic infiltration and all forms of political fraudsters in this entire current electioneering programme.
10. Read Isaiah 33:22 and Pray that the Lord, the Judge of the Earth may, raise the Mordecais and Esthers company that will bring about the reversal and cancellation of the purported mandates against God’s choice Servants in all states in Nigeria.
11.That the Lord, the True Judge of All the Earth may deal with the crafty counsels of the wicked against the indigenous people in Nigeria, and God’s choice Servants for all the states in Nigeria.
12.Pray that the Lord, the Eternal Judge may cause His Word which never returns to Him void to be fulfilled in the lives of His Choice Servants in the states in Nigeria and the entire indigenous people of Nigeria.
13. Pray that the Lord may stir up all the hearts of indigenous people of Nigeria to intercede for the nation and to cast their votes during the forthcoming general elections.
14.That the Lord, the True Judge may mobilize the host of heaven to defend the Indigenous people of Nigeria and cause them to be bold, strong and courageous to partner with God to do His will in Nigeria.
CHURCH OF NIGERIA CONFERENCES
1.The Church of Nigeria Standing Committee comes up at St. Matthias House Abuja, in September 2022.
2. Pray for the host Diocese that God will provide resource for effective hosting of the meeting.
3. Pray for the Local Organizing Committee as they plan and execute the Standing Committee. That there shall be no disappointment, the weather will be friendly and things will go on smoothly.
4. Pray for DIVCCON 2022, that God will publicize this programme by Himself, every form of Luke warmness will cease. Pray also that God will provide resources that will enable people to attend this conference.
5. Pray for the National EFAC conference coming up in August 2022.
5. Pray for other programmes of Church of Nigeria to receive divine attention.
CHURCH LEADERSHIP
1. Pray for spirit of unity to reign among the bishops in order to pursue common goals for the Church.
2. Pray for safety of all Bishops and their wives, that they will not be victims of kidnappers. May God arise and shield our bishops and families from being seen by evil people.
3. Pray for the consecration of Bishops during the Standing Committee, that the new bishops will be anointed for the work of bishops.
4. Pray for all Bishops’ wives as they lead women organization in their dioceses in fear and love of Christ.
5. May God answer our prayers as we continue to put our trust in His saving grace.

DAY 3- SUNDAY 14TH AUGUST 2022(Prayer Sunday)
THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION
Hear this: Pa Elton, in 1986 gave this words, " Nigeria and Nigerians will be known for corruption worldwide but the tide will turn and Nigeria will also be known for righteousness worldwide. Many shall take hold of him that is a Nigerian, saying, we will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you".
1. Thank God for being our God, and his plan for this Nation Nigeria.
2. Thank God for the prophetic word he gave since 1986 for Nigeria.
3. Continue to bring repentance to God for yourself and the Church and our Nation,Nigeria for all the atrocities, bloodshed, killings, terrorism, etc
4. Pleas the blood of Jesus over our lives and land, for redemption through the blood of Jesus, (1Peter 1:18-19).
INSECURITYANDPOLITICSINNIGERIA
1. Ask the Lord to release 1000 warring angels each to the forests of every state and federal capital territory to chase back these fulani jihadists that have been imported and mobilised into our forests back to the nations they were imported from.
2) Ask the Lord to confuse these wicked politicians that have looted and destroyed our economy, education and social life of our nation that they will never find space in the leadership of our nation
3) Prophesy to the land of Nigeria to mobilize against them across the nation to reject and vomit them out of the political space in every community in Nigeria
4) Ask the Lord to manifest the Davids from all constituencies across the nation.
5) Proclaim unusual peace in all campaigns that will throw up the Davids in our land.
6)Ask the Lord to release His angels throughout the election periods to demobilise all violent instruments and personalities being procured by wicked politicians against the elections and people of Nigeria.
7) Ask the Lord to detonate all their wicked altars, gates , sorcerers, diviners, enchanters and disband them.
8) Intensify prayers for the ASUU strike, for divine intervention in the situation
9) Pray against any form of manipulations. That the proud shall be humbled and the name of the Lord shall be exalted.
10) Pray for the protection of the President and those that work with him. The plan of the bandits over our Nation shall fail.
11) Pray that bloodshed of innocent citizens of Nigeria should cease.
CHURCHOFNIGERIACONFERENCES
1.Pray for the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Standing Committee and Mothers’ Union Executives Meeting that will hold from Monday12th to Friday16th September, 2022 at St. Matthias’ House, Gudu, Abuja.

CHURCHLEADERSHIP
1.Thank God for the leadership of Primate of All Nigeria, the Most Revd Henry C. Ndukuba, Mama Nigeria and all that work with him for grace to remain faithful and committed to the faith.
2. Pray of our Bishops for good and sound health and spiritual wisdom to tackle issues of the faith.
3. Pray for our Clergy for God's presence and leading as they explore their places of assignments, and that God will uphold them always.
4. Ask for healing and blessings for our laity this season of hardship in Nigeria, for God's grace.
