BORN TO REIGN!

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

TOPIC: BORN TO REIGN!

TEXT: GENESIS 1: 24-31

24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

MESSAGE: 
Man was created on the last working day - all other things had been created before he was brought into existence. Man was the apex of God's creation, the final work on the sixth day. It must be noted that man was the only image of God - he was made differently from all other creatures. The purpose of creating man was to “...have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth" (v.26). In other words, man was created to exercise dominion over other creatures. Child of God, you have been given the power, authority and dominion to rule and put all situations in your life under the control of your heavenly Father. You have been empowered to trample on snakes and scorpions and all the powers of the enemy (Luke 10: 19). Do not let fear grip your heart as a result of what the devil has brought your way. Rise up in the strength of the Lord to confront the enemy of your soul roaring at you in your marriage, over your business or anything that concerns you (1Pet.5: 8) .It is your right to resist the devil whose mission is to steal your joy, kill your vision and destroy you ultimately and he will surely flee from you (James 4: 7). Do not negotiate with the enemy; go ahead and exercise your dominion over him. You were born into God's family to reign!
 
PRAYER: 
Father, I banish the enemy from my life today, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!

FIVE NEW FULL FLEDGED ANGLICAN DIOCESES

Five new Dioceses have been created in the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion. The Church's official website - http://www.anglican-nig.org/main.php?k_j=12&d=352&p_t=index.php? posted the information thus: The Standing Committee Meeting of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion has approved the creation of five new full fledged Dioceses at their meeting at the Cathedral Church of St. Stephen’s Umuahia, Abia State. They are Shendam Diocese carved out of Langtang Diocese, Plateau state, Ido-Ani Diocese from present Owo Diocese, in Ondo state, Igbomina West from Igbomina Diocese,Kwara state, Ilesha North East from Ilesha in Osun state and Ijebu South West from Ijebu Diocese in Ogun state. At the presentation, the head of the Committee responsible for creation of new Dioceses, the most Rev.
